LTL (Less-Than-Truckload)
LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) logistics is a freight transportation method used to move shipments that are too large for parcel carriers but do not require a full truckload. In LTL logistics, multiple shippers’ freight is consolidated into a single trailer, allowing each customer to pay only for the portion of space their cargo occupies.
This approach makes LTL an efficient and cost-effective solution for businesses shipping between 150 and 10,000 pounds. LTL carriers provide services such as cargo tracking, freight classification, liftgate assistance, residential or limited-access delivery, and scheduled pickups.
By optimizing routes and maximizing trailer utilization, LTL logistics helps reduce transportation costs, lower environmental impact, and improve flexibility for small and medium-sized shipments.
